February 28, 2008 - Clarke® American Sanders last Thursday completed its first distributor sales institute of 2008 with a resounding success. Clarke® American Sanders last Thursday completed its first distributor sales institute of 2008 with a resounding success.
Distributors from across the country traveled to Springdale, Ark. to take part in the three-day course, designed to give a better understanding of Clarke American Sanders equipment and of the company as a whole and where it fits in the industry.
“Unlike most sales training classes put on by other manufacturers, the Clarke American Sanders sales training program is driven to be a hands-on, head-to-head comparison of products,” said Wayne Lee, training manager and Midwest regional sales manager.
Lee, an NWFA-certified instructor with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, takes pride in the comparative and hands-on approach that the sales institute offers distributor sales personnel.
“Our dealers truly enjoy a class that is not a ‘let me tell you why we are the best,’ but rather a ‘let me show you, and then be put to test.’ We allow the participants to run any and all units side by side to see that what we present is fact. I can always count on the attendees, during the hands on portion of the school, to see that our units are driven by design to meet the contractor’s demands.”
The Clarke American Sanders sales institutes are open to qualified distributor sales individuals. Upcoming school dates and more information can be found here. Clarke American Sanders began in 1903 as The American Floor Surfacing Machine Company and built the first floor sanding machine on record with the U.S. Patent Office. 100 years later, Clarke American Sanders remains the worldwide leader in the design and production of wood floor sanders and edgers for the professional contractor as well as the do-it-yourselfer. Today we continue this heritage with innovative equipment designs focusing on performance, reliability and user ergonomics while furthering our investments in state-of-the-art product testing facilities, quality enhancement processes and upgraded production methods.
